UK and US Elections
Bye Bye Labour party? We asked you about your voting intention for the next UK general election and Labour crawled in at third place with only 13% of your votes. Conservatives (strongly backed by Londoners) bagged the biggest share of the votes at 37% and 15% of you opted for Lib Dems, pushing them up to second place. Only the Glaswegians among you bucked the trend, with the Scottish National Party their number 1 choice.
You also feel that Gordon Brown's days are numbered, with only 1 in 10 envisaging him continuing as Prime Minister post-election. When we asked who, from the Labour camp, could do a better job, David Miliband came top, with 1 in 5 deeming him the best Labour candidate.
Meanwhile across the pond….Given the choice between Barack Obama and John McCain, 60% of you predicted the American citizens will plump for Obama in the US elections later this year. This is roughly in line with what you think should happen, as 68% said Obama is the most worthy of Presidency. Very different picture for McCain…1/4 predicted he would be elected, however only 6% felt that he should be.
