TV viewing habits

There is an average of two TV sets in an Urban Life member's home. Weekends are when Urban Lifer's watch the most TV, which co-insides with more time spent at home compared to during the week, watching an average of 3 hours on either day. Proving you Urban Lifers are ahead of the game, 3 in 5 of you that have a TV already have a Personal Video Recorder (PVR) at home.

7 in 10 of you appear to be big fans of watching TV and a passionate 15% say they love watching TV. BBC1 and Channel 4 are your most watched channels with E4 the most watched digital channel, with 35% of you having it in your top 5. Films and comedies are your favourite types of programmes which more than 40% of you claim to love watching. Do your TV viewing habits buck the Urban Lifer trend?

Two-thirds of you watch Jeremy Clarkson and the boys in BBC's Top Gear, with a less impressive 15% tuning into Pimp My Ride, which is the second most watched car programme. 3 in 10 Urban Life members avoid car-related TV programmes all together.

7 in 10 of you have a WAP enabled mobile phone - in other words, you can access the Internet on your mobile. However, 1 in 4 of those with a WAP enabled mobile phone have never used it to access the Internet. Those of you that do use your mobile to access the Internet, 4 in 10 (38%) use it every week with nearly as many (34%) using it less than once a month. The expense and being difficult to navigate are the most common reasons for Urban Life members not using their WAP facility more often.
