Tony Blair & the 'feral beast'
76% of you agreed with Tony Blair on his recent comments referring to the media as a 'feral beast' and you placed the Sun at the top of the guilty list among national newspaper publications. In terms of political neutrality, 74% agreed that Metro was almost always or mostly successful, with 53% seeing the ability to remain politically neutral as a brand strength of Metro. Meanwhile, 77% of you think that Metro should continue a policy of political neutrality whilst 19% think we should continue but we should try a bit harder in remaining neutral.

We presented you with a variety of topics and asked you which you would feel most able to talk about should the conversation come up in the pub. Between the sexes, female Urbanites felt less able than their male counterparts to talk about British Politics should the conversation come up in the pub, 42% Vs 55% respectively. Conversely, female Urbanites feel most confident talking about celebrities than any other topic we presented you with, 63% of you female Urbanites feel able to talk about this compared to 37% of males.

Smoking Ban
Only 26% believe that a ban on smoking in public places is an infringement of our civil liberties whilst 73% think that smoking should have been banned in public places a long time ago.On the other hand 85% of you smoking Urbanites believe that the ban is an infringement of our human rights and a further 83% thought that smoking should have really only been banned in certain public places.
Interest Rates
The recent interest rate rises splits your opinion, with 49% stating that they are worried and 47% stating that they are not worried about the rises at all. However, out of those of you that own homes 57% are worried about the recent rises compared to 39% of non-home owning Urbanites. Overall, you are pretty bullish with regards to the economy, with 46% of you believing the UK economy to be pretty stable right now.57% of you thought that for £400,000 the Olympic logo could have been a little better
