Going out...

The focus this month was on drinking and going out. You seem to like a drink, with men drinking on average 2.7 times a week and women 2.3. 16% of men and 8% of women drink over 25 units of alcohol a week, but 5% of you never drink. 29% of you aged 18-24, most enjoy drinking in a bar, whereas overall you prefer drinking in a traditional boozer (30%).

So what is the average price you are willing to pay for a bottle of wine? Well, it seems as though you are more inclined to purchase a more expensive bottle of wine to take round to a friend's place (£6.70) than you are to drink at home (£5.60). Price is the most important factor when deciding which wine to buy (66%), followed by country / region (62%) and then familiarity with the brand (53%). Champagne divides you though; with 22% loving it and 23% claiming it's an over rated drink! You girls are also quite easily led when it comes to drinking after work, with nearly a third (32%) of you following the crowd and having what others have to drink. As for you guys, it's not much better with 22% doing so.

More and more we are purchasing goods online and 15% of you have purchased alcohol, with supermarkets being top (59%) followed by a wine merchants (34%). The main reason for doing so is it's convenient to do so (53%). As for not buying online, the main reason is you have just not thought about doing it (46%), or you buy from the local off licence / shop (28%)
