Have Your Say

February's Have Your Say section was a hotchpotch of different topical issues, including Reality TV, British politics and international football!

CELEBRITY BIG BROTHER

George Galloway One of the most talked-about issues to come out of CBB this year was whether George Galloway, an active MP, should have taken part in the show. 58% of you said you had been watching CBB (65% of women compared with 53% of men), with the vast majority thinking it was inappropriate for George Galloway to have taken part:

TONY BLAIR

Tony Blair will step down as Prime Minister before the next general election, but we wanted to know when you thought he should give way to a Labour successor. 58% said 'sooner rather than later' - 23% wanted him to go right now and a further 35% though he should go within the next year. However, 34% said you would prefer it if he stuck around for a while longer: 23% thought he should go just before the next general election and a further 11% wished he didn't have to step down at all.

PETE DOHERTY

Pete Doherty

Last year's Urban Life revealed that Pete Doherty, singer with Babyshambles and ex-boyfriend of Kate Moss, was voted the worst role model for Britain, setting a terrible example with his drug-fuelled behaviour. Recently Pete Doherty was found guilty of 7 charges of drug possession, but he escaped a custodial sentence. We asked you "do you think it was the right or wrong decision not to jail him?". The verdict … 73% said "send 'im dahn!"

ENGLAND F.C.

Who do Urbanites think should be the next manager of the England football team after Sven Goran-Eriksson? A clear favourite emerged: Martin O'Neill, with 13% of the vote, followed by Sam Allardyce and Stuart Pearce. However, 54% of you either didn't know, or didn't care who would take over from Sven.
